Product Name(s): ETC Series - Electronic Thermostat Controller, ETC-1 and ETM-2,3,6; ETM Series - Electronic Thermostat Modules, ETM 1010, 1020, Plus, and 3051; Custom Controller
Product Description: The ETC and ETM Series and the Custom Controller are application-specific, configurable, fixed I/O controllers designed for specific small to medium-sized air handling unit applications. Each series has multiple controllers with different fixed and dedicated I/O options for a variety of AHU sizes and configurations. Most outputs are digital, but some controllers provide for analog output for damper applications. Novar custom language may be used with ETMs.
Product Application(s): ETC Series: The ETC Series is used to control multistage heating and cooling, fan, and outside air functions of standard HVAC air handling units. There are 4 different ETC models with varying dedicated I/O and enclosure options. ETM Series: The ETM Series is intended for rooftop or unitary HVAC equipment such as staged fan coil units and has less I/O than the ETC Series. The ETM has 3 different and dedicated I/O configurations. The ETM Plus has 5 I/O configurations and more enclosure options. The ETM 3501 is designed to be use in areas where controller detects space temperature sensor damage and reverts to RA sensor. The Custom Controller is an application-specific AHU controller similar to the ETC and is configured to provide ASHRAE Cycle II ventilation outside air control.

Programming Method(s) Controllers are shipped pre-programmed for a variety of common AHU sequences and allow parameter and setpoint input by the user. Custom programs are supported, and are typically provided by Novar-trained representatives prior to shipping.
Resident vs Non-Resident Program Execution Program remains resident in controller. Program setpoints are stored in non-volatile RAM.
Resident/Supervisory. This controller supervises the scheduling of other controllers.
Resident/Stand Alone. This controller contains its own schedule.
Non-Resident. This controller is dependent upon another controller for its schedule.
None. This controller has no scheduling features.
