Product Description: The VMA-1200 Series are application-specific, configurable controllers provided with on-board pressure sensor and electric damper actuators for VAV terminal unit applications and are located on the N2E Lon Bus. (The VMA-1400 are similar, but are located on the proprietary N2 Bus). They are supervised by an NCM or N30/31 (SI) during normal operation and can also operate stand-alone. Both models contain common VAV terminal control sequences pre-programmed and can be user-modified for custom sequences using 'side loops'
Product Application(s): Configurable controllers with integral actuator designed for pressure independent, or constant volume single duct systems. The VMA1210 are used for cooling only, and the VMA1220 is used for cooling w/reheat and also for series/parallel fan-powered boxes. Reheat options for the VMA1220 include proportional, 2-position, or floating valves; or 1, 2, or 3 stage electric. Baseboard heat can also be controlled

Programming Method(s) Requires M-Pro software tool, a menu-based programming/configuration package that is part of the M-Tool package. M-Pro is run on a laptop or workstation PC. Commissioning is performed using the VMA Balancing Tool (VBT) software, running on a Palm-compatible handheld device. VBT allows for modification of heating and cooling setpoints; flow gain/K-factor calculation and changes; and air flow parameter modifications.
Resident vs Non-Resident Program Execution Configurable software is resident in the controller. Custom variations (called 'Side Loops') can be programmed in GPL and reside at the NCM, with commands communicated to the controller via the N2 secondary network.
